The SSBA was hit badly by the COVID epidemic. By the time play recommenced, many of the team members were too old for the junior age groups, and with little junior coaching, few new were coming through.
But this is changing, and now the county is running 2 junior teams, one at Under 14 level, the other at Under 16, with new players coming through from different coaching sessions. We’ve also entered a team into this year’s Under 18 ICT.
Hopefully the SSBA will soon be again holding training sessions for members and organising teams in all the junior age groups in the Shires League County Championships, Under 12, 14, 16 & 18, as well as the ICT (Inter County Tournament).
